Dog Mountain - Sunset Hike

Sunset hike up Dog Mountain. Now that you have to have a permit to climb it on the weekends, week night hikes might be my new thing on Dog! Even though it's the end of June (oh, and it's my daughter's birthday... HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MISSY!) it was cold and windy at the top. This was my first time to hike down in the dark... my headlamp just wasn't enough. Next time I'll bring along a flashlight. The sunset was beautiful!

Mt. Hood - McNeil Point Shelter

My adventure sister, Lidia, and I hiked up to the shelter on Mt. Hood and then hiked over to Bald Mountain. The views were spectacular, the sun was intense and the climb at times was just plain brutal. But, as always, we were up for the challenge and had a great time! I really like this hike and want to do it again soon! It's a great training hike!
