Tons of Pictures from Recent Hikes

These pictures are from hikes I did not previously blog about. Not much blogging here but plenty of beautiful scenery.

February - Snowshoeing around Trillium Lake near Mt. Hood. I really enjoyed the snow in the mountains this year!

February - Night snowshoe near White River on Mt. Hood. Very cool experience! The moon was full and we really didn't need our headlamps.

Mt. Hood

March - Snowshoeing "off trail" around Trillium Lake. It rained on us the entire day and the snow was wet and heavy. Great workout and lots of fun though! Too wet to even think about taking pictures.

March - Hamilton Mountain via the equestrian trail.

Mt. Adams in the distance

March - Dog Mountain.  My first time up this beast. It poured down rain nearly the entire time, the wind was ferocious, and it hailed like crazy on our way down. Loved it anyway!

Phil Murray - RIP Phil - June 2017

April - Deschutes River Trail.  It was nice to travel east for the warmer weather and a glimpse of the sunshine!

Old wooden box car from the 1920's

April - Larch Mountain up to Sherrard Point.

April - Dog Mountain.  A lot nicer weather this time and quite an adventure taking the "back route"! We lost the trail near the top because of the snow and ended up fighting our way through "branch-ageddon!" Lots of fun!

May - Hamilton Mountain. This was the first time for me to take the actual Hamilton Mountain Trail all the way up. This way was much more picturesque but the other route is obviously still beautiful. We also took a little side trip to Little Beacon.

I LOVE THE BEAUTY OF THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST!
