Snowshoeing on Mt. Hood

My first snowshoe of the season! Woohoo! It was fun exploring up on a ridge behind Timberline Lodge but the wind was strong, crazy and cold. I had two layers of clothes on my lower half and FOUR on my upper half and I have to say, I was perfectly warm and cozy despite the freezing temps. We eventually moved down into a canyon where it was much calmer and the snow was deep and powdery. We continuously laughed as we tripped and fell multiple times and butt-scooted down a steep slope. It was a great day playing on Mt. Hood! :)
