Indian Point and Beyond

My adventure sister and I started early this morning and took the harder way up to Indian Point this time - Nick Eaton Way Trail to the Ridge Cutoff Trail and then east over to the Point. Once there we ventured further southeast along a barely used trail until we ran out of trail to follow - too many downed, burned trees and brush covering it up. This area was severely burned during the 2017 Eagle Creek Fire. We climbed up a ridge and had lunch among the flowers and did a little exploring off trail along the spine. We only saw one other person out there in the wild.😉 The burn area is so beautiful with all of the new growth and color. ❤ We saw Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams and Mt. St. Helens today. Spotted "wildlife" too... a slug! Beautiful flowers and mushrooms too.

I loved this great conditioning hike! Our climb up St. Helens is only two weeks away!

Mt. Defiance - that's another one we have to go conquer :)
